* Meteorological observations
The San Martin Laboratory (LASAN) within the base also performs the following activities: - Ionosphere behaviour; - Atmospheric whistle study; and - Cosmic Noises Analysis. The base staff also carry out the following: - logistics and maintenance; - exploration and acknowledgement patrols; - tourism support; - maintenance of search, salvation and rescue capabilities; - logistic support to scientific activities; and - performance of National Record of People (Reg. Nacional de las Personas).
