This house was a filming location for the 2012 movie "Looper", which stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, and Emily Blunt.
Sara Rollins (played by Blunt) is a single mother who helps Joe Simmons (played by Gordon-Levitt).
The small barn near the house appears to have been built for the movie, as it did not appear in Google Earth satellite imagery before 2011.
Other scenes of the movie were filmed in this rural neighborhood and in nearby New Orleans.

If you scroll a bit west, just across the "main" road (Hwy 1010) is the diner built for the movie. Interesting that they're so close together, though I guess it shouldn't be a big surprise since the diner was built for the movie. Cheaper than having to move everything across town or to another town altogether.
