The Sargent House is located at 154 Central Avenue. It was built there and has never been moved. It was designed by the architect William H. Weeks. It is a Modified Colonial Style built in 1896 by contractor L.U. Grant at a cost of $7,500. It was constructed for Bradley V. Sargent, District Attorney for Monterey County. Sargent was the first California attorney to introduce the photograph as evidence in a court case. The property is listed in the National Register.
