Scaffold and axe at Horsens Prison Museum

This scaffold and axe has been used 4 times in Denmark to execute prisoners. 3 of them were public executions. The last one was here at Horsens State Prison.

November 9. 1892 Jens Nielsen was executed for trying to murder a prison guard and other attempts.
