Hedge fund manager Scott C Dorey, a former trader and exec at Lehman Brothers who worked directly for Dick Fuld. He left just prior to the bankruptcy at Lehman to create a hedge fund that grew into the largest Asian short seller according to the China Daily and Financial Times. Both publications reported that he had a $3bn short position in solar panel maker Hanergy prior to it being halted for accounting irregularities and it crashing over 50% in a single day of trading netting $1.5bn in paper gains. Highly secretive, Scott keeps out of the public eye and his stock holdings are not reported online. According to publications he has a new equities fund targeting special situations in North America and makes venture capital investments in the technology and real estate sector.
