The Senkaku Islands (尖閣諸島, Senkaku Shotō?) are a group of disputed, uninhabited islands currently administered by Japan, but also claimed by the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Republic of China (ROC/Taiwan). In Chinese, the islands are known as the Diaoyutai Islands (Traditional Chinese: 釣魚台群島, Simplified Chinese: 钓鱼台群岛, pinyin: Diàoyútái Qúndǎo).
