This nice home in suburban Sacramento is the former home of convicted serial killer Dorothea Puente, As well as site where many of her elderly victims were killed and buried in the backyard.

In the 1980s, Puente ran a boarding house and cashed the Social Security checks of her elderly and mentally disabled boarders. Those who complained were killed and buried in her yard.

Puente was accused of killing 9 people before she was apprehended in 1988.

Puente was sentenced to 2 life sentences and was incarcerated at Central California Women's Facility (CCWF) in Chowchilla, Madera County, California.

She died on March 27, 2011 in prison in Chowchilla, California at the age of 82 from natural causes
