The Kazan St Ambrose Stavropegial Convent, commonly referred to as Shamordino Convent (Russian: Казанская Свято-Амвросиевская Пустынь, Шамординский Ставропигиальный женский монастырь), is a Russian Orthodox convent, located on the river Serena near the village of Shamordino, 12 km (7.5 miles) from Optinsky Monastery. Convent was founded in 1884 with the blessing of Saint Ambrose Optinsky.
