Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's Seychelles Palace

Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the President of the United Arab Emirates, the Emir of Abu Dhabi and the Supreme Commander of the Union Defence Force.

Sheikh Khalifa built this palace atop the highest point in the Seychelles. In 2010, construction of the palace complex caused millions of dollars worth of pollution to the island, including diesel fuel and human waste spilling into the water supply. Residents of the island claimed that the pollution also impacted the natural beauty of the island and impeded farming abilities.
