Sir Noël Coward's Firefly Estate

Firefly Estate was English playwright, composer, director, actor and singer Noël Coward's vacation home. The estate is built on a mountaintop overlooking Port Maria on the northeastern coast of Jamaica. Coward entertained numerous celebs including the Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth II, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Laurence Olivier, Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor, Sir Alec Guinness, Peter O'Toole, Richard Burton, and neighbours Errol Flynn, Ruth Bryan Owen and Ian Fleming.

Coward passed away on his estate in 1973 at age 73. He is buried in a tomb near the spot where he would sit at dusk and watch the sun set. There is a statue of Coward sitting in his chair gazing at the beautiful surroundings.
