Fab,
Unfortunately, in BEV, it's not possible to simply cut and paste the "share this map" coordinates. You have to first go back into map view and paste those coordinates into the BEV coordinates. It's not as complicated as it sounds. Here's a helpful tutorial:

Gee, it's hard!
Ok, I tried to follow the tutorial in the forum and the new coordinates should be:
http://local.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=45.521763~9.264451&style=o&lvl=2&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=10664033&sp=Point.rkd9dyhrxbdz_Cor___
Thanks for help ;)

I no longer cut and paste. I maneuver to the view in BEV, switch to aerial view, click perma link request, flip back to BEV and click perma link request again.

I follow kjfitz method except that I don't click the perma link request in aerial view. That step is not necessary.

mlc1us, great job! I'll update the tutorial removing that step. That will save all of us a lot of time.

Navigate to BEV view, flip to aerial view and then flip back to BEV (then optionally adjust direction and zoom) and then click permalink.

Much easier!

%$#%$

Just a few minutes ago BEV went back to the old format of encoding the long/lat in the URLs. Now you HAVE to cut and paste the long.lat again to get a valid URL. Damn!

(Well, it fixes hundreds of links over at Bird's Eye Tourist that broke there.)

Here's hoping that somehow the folks a Microsoft were following our discussion and decided to fix all the hopping back and fourth between BEV and aerial, and have gone back to the old system just long enough to program out the glitches.
