The gothic stone Smyth Tower at the Manchester, NH VA Medical Center dates back to 1888. It was former NH Governor Fredrick Smyth’s hideaway retreat. Smyth later served on the Board of the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers.
The tower is on the grounds of the present Veterans Administration Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire. It is not open to the public.
