The Bavarian Soccer Association (BFV) and the Sports Association of the Land of Bavaria (BLSV), with support from the Federal Republic of Germany and the Free State of Bavaria, founded a modern college of physical education in Oberhaching near Munich.

The Sportschule Oberhaching was built 12 km south of Munich in 1994, covering an area of approx. 220,000 square meters. The spacious foyer in the main building forms the central part of the Sportschule, with all functional sections arranged around it in a star-like architecture.
