St Hilda's church at Danby is possibly the archetypal English parish church,that has evolved over the centuries,it has elements of Saxon Norman,early medieval and Georgian features.

There has been a church on this site since 1100AD the present church being built on a previous Christian burial ground.

There have been some restorations over the centuries one of the main ones being in 1777,also additions have been made.
