St Mary-at-Lambeth Church (Garden Museum)

St Mary-at-Lambeth Church (Garden Museum)

London, United Kingdom (GB)
This 14th century church was deconsecrated in the1970s and designated for demolition. In 1976, a visitor saw what was going to happen to the church and intervened and the outcome is now the Garden Museum. The project is still on-going.

One of those interred in the churchyard is Admiral Bligh - better known to everyone as Captain Bligh of "Mutiny on the Bounty" fame.
