St Mary Magdalene Church is a Norman church built in 1137 and is the oldest Norman church located in London. The church is surrounded by a 9,5-acre graveyard, which is one of the biggest in London. The graveyard officially closed to burials in 1974 After its closure to burials, the graveyard became quite overgrown and was eventually converted into a nature reserve in 1983. A memorial erected for two crew members aboard the SS Titanic sits in the graveyard. The area is open to the public.
