Statue of Michael the Brave

Statue of Michael the Brave

Bucharest, Romania (RO)
The four statues of Michael the Brave, John Heliade Radulescu, Spiru Haret and Gheorghe Lazar were moved from the University Square because of an underground garage project. They were to be restored to their original places by April 2012.

Michael the Brave (1558 – August 9, 1601) was the Prince of Wallachia (1593–1601), of Transylvania (1599–1600), and of Moldavia (1600). He ruled all three principalities in a personal union for a short period of time.
