Description:Here's where a suspension bridge should join Sicily and Calabria (southern tip of Italy). Construction was to begin in 2006 but Italian new government has stopped the project because of the strong opposition from part of local population and ecologist movements, concerned about enviromental risks and the high cost of the work.
