Site of the Sugar Bowl college football game each year.

Actually, it's the track and field classic in conjunction with the Sugar Bowl. The game itself is played in the Superdome, although it looks like it'll be in Baton Rouge this year.

Uhhh.. the Google Maps link you have opens to the Street Map and the Satellite Image shows the stadium high and dry.

It might still be available as a Google Earth overlay somewhere... but I suppose this type of special feature was only meant to be temporary anyhow.
