Since the sites (GS, GGT, and Perljam) began, maps have flowed back and forth. Things posted here get reposted there. Things posted there get reposted here. It all belongs to Google in the end. Nothing new happening today.

That's so funny. Makes it easy for you. Don't have to do much looking for yourself, just copy them and post. Kind of like cheating.
But if it still offends you then I think if you should really look at where the "copying" is happening.
Let's just look at the ten most recent postings at GoogleSiteseeing:
The Korean airfields that are the most recent GoogleSiteseeing post along with the paculiarities described in the text is as far as I can tell, derived from a lot of work that pdunn has obsesively done over the last three months on the Korean sites.
The Voortrekker monument was posted by me on July 7 here at GGT. Does that mean no other site can post it or are "ripping me off" or that GoggleSiteseeing is taking the "easy way out?" I don't feel that way.
Most of the setadiums were already in GGT.
The big blue cruise ship was posted here July and actually identified by one of our community in September.
The sailing ship Christan Radich was posted by me in August.
Same with the SS Palo Alto and the Brandenburg Gate.
And it goes on and on...
So of the last ten entries on GoogleSiteseeing only some boat wakes, a skyscraper in Macao, and some tennis courts weren't posted on GGT first. Does that mean that GoogleSiteseeing is just copying our sites? Not really.
If I've missed some rule that says you can't post a map that some other site has posted then I missed something.
I would also like to point out there are over 11,000 maps posted to this site. So yes, there is a lot of hard-working people working to find great sights!
At Google Sightseeing we don't need to scour other sites to find our posts - we have a huge database of user-submitted locations where we get all of our posts from. Obviously many of those submissions have been borrowed from other sites, including this one, but we don't have a problem with using them, and don't have any objections to "our" locations being used by other sites. As TexasAndroid points out, none of this belongs to any of us!
Besides, I reckon virtually everything GGT, perljam or GGSS has ever posted has probably already been discussed over at bbs.keyhole.com . . . ;-P

We appreciate all of the work you do at Sightseeing, and hope you stop by here some times as well!
