When I was a student at the University of Texas wandering through the library we wondered what the heck the architect had in mind with this wierd shaped library. Supposedly it's designed in the shape of Texas. Sort of abstract I suppose. The official name of the library is Perry-Casteneda Library or the PCL. Sometimes called the pickle.
