Singer/songwriter Taylor Swift was discovered here when she was 15 while performing a showcase in front of a bunch of record label people. Scott Borchetta came up to her at the end of her set ,and told her he didn't have a record label but planned on starting one called Big Machine Records and wanted to sign her. The rest is history.
