'The Brick House' by Philip Johnson

'The Brick House' by Philip Johnson

New Canaan, Connecticut (CT), US
directly across from Johnson's famous Glass house. The Brick House was built as a polar opposite to the Glass House. Instead of clear sides, it is encased in brick with only skylights and two oval windows at the back. The structures were built as one project and meant as a lesson in contrasts.
