The Diver is a 15 foot (4.6 meters) tall sculpture constructed from galvanised steel. The work was started in 1995 and completed in August 2000 by John Kaufman, a self-taught sculptor living in East London.
The Diver is partly submerged every high tide and completely submerged by spring and neap tides.
