In the seventh episode of the fourth season, the Governor is walking through the woods along with Martinez, Mitch, and Pete looking for supplies. As they're walking and talking, the Governor pauses to look out over the lake and sees a dock.

The Governor is shown later dumping Pete's dead body off this same dock.
