The Hjortspring boat is a vessel designed as a large canoe, from the Scandinavian Pre-Roman Iron Age, that was excavated in 1921–1922 in Hjortspring Bog at Als in Sønderjylland.
It was a clinker-built wooden boat 21 m long (outer length), 13 m long inside and 2 m wide with space for a crew of 22–23 men who propelled the boat with paddles: it was built around 300-400 BC.
Her you can see a replica of the boat made by locals. At occations it's taken out to demonstrate it. The remains of the original can be seen in the National Museum of Copenhagen
