The Jungle was built in 1928 for then Mayor Barclay Warburton of Philadelphia. John Segar, a multimillionaire with large interests in the Pennsylvania coal mining industry was a frequent renter of the property.
The estate is currently owned by Lawrence Moens a real estate broker/owner of Lawrence A. Moens Associates Inc.
