Built in 1937, the New Daisy was originally a movie house that operated into the 1970's. In the 1980's it was renovated as a performing arts venue, and has hosted such luminaries as John Lee Hooker, Gatemouth Brown, Jerry Lee Lewis, Al Green, Sam and Dave, Bob Dylan, Alex Chilton, The Cramps, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Nirvana, Justin Timberlake, Nelly, The Cult and Oasis, among others.
