The Brown Derby was a chain of restaurants in Los Angeles and is most associated with the Golden Age of Hollywood. This picture is the site of the original and most famous. It was located at 3427 Wilshire Boulevard and was shaped like the hat. The building was replaced in 1980 by a shopping center bearing the name Brown Derby Plaza. A nod to the Derby was incorporated with a dome looking like the derby hat.
