The 19-story Art Deco building at 740 Park Avenue reportedly has the highest concentration of billionaires in the US and has been described as “the world’s richest apartment building” by Michael Gross who wrote a book about it.

Current residents include Jets owner Woody Johnson, industrialist David Koch, fashion designer Vera Wang, investor Stephen Schwarzman, hedge fund magnates Howard Marks, Charles Stevenson and Israel Englander, shipping heir Spyros Niarchos, banker John Thain etc.

Former residents include Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, John D. Rockefeller, Jr., Time Warner empire builder Steven J. Ross, media tycoon Rupert Murdoch, cosmetics heir Ronald Lauder, investor Ronald Perelman, Chrysler heiress Thelma Chrysler Foy, financier Saul Steinberg etc.
