Description:Thomas Kinkade was an American painter of popular realistic, bucolic, and idyllic subjects. He was claimed to be "America's most-collected living artist" before his death with an estimated 1 in every 20 American homes owning a copy of one of his paintings.

On April 6, 2012, Thomas Kinkade died at his home in Monte Sereno, California of "acute intoxication" from alcohol and Valium.
