Tornedyssen (Neolithic Dolmen)

Tornedyssen, directly translated to "Thorn Dolmen", is a Neolithic stone dolmen in Roskilde, Denmark. The dolmen is within the protected area of the Himmelev forest. The dolmen is between 6000-5000 years old and is situated between the main road past Roskilde and the suburb of Himmelev.

Only two stones remain of the dolmen today. The western stone is thought to be one of the stones that supported the cover stone, which is thought to be the other stone. The presumed cover stone also has seven cup-marks carved into it. The site is easily accessible, open to the public and protected. Two other Neolithic burial mounds are found nearby.
