Turku Concert Hall (Birds Eye)
The Turku Concert Hall designed by architect Risto-Veikko Luukkonen was completed in 1952. It is the first hall in the country that was designed and built mainly for concert purposes. The architecture of the Concert Hall represents functionalist style, and the clean-cut building is a fine example of a successful combination of functionality and architectural planning.

There are 1002 seats in the hall designed by Luukkonen. The acoustic planning of the hall was the responsibility of special expert in acoustics, Chief Engineer Paavo Arni. The acoustics of the concert hall were improved with computer modelling in 1998–2003.

The Concert Hall is owned by the City of Turku, and administratively it operates under the Cultural Board. In addition, the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra performs in the Concert Hall.
