Passengers aboard a transatlantic flight today spoke of the terrifying moment a man with suspected links to Al Qaeda attempted to blow up their plane.
A Nigerian suspect was tackled by fellow passenger Jaspar Schuringa as he attempted to detonate a powdery substance on a flight from Amsterdam as it prepared to land at Detroit with 278 people on board.
It is believed the man could have boarded the plane with an explosive powder strapped to his inner thigh or hidden in his underwear.
