The UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex will open in the summer of 2015. It will serve as the new training center for the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins. It is named after Penguins team owner and Hockey Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux.

The complex will have two hockey rinks, a weight room, a running track, batting cages, a food court, and a retail store. The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) will also operate a sports medicine clinic on site offering orthopaedic treatment, physical therapy, and concussion treatment. It will have MRI and X-ray equipment on site.

The complex is conveniently located alongside I-79, about 20 minutes north of Pittsburgh.
