US Predator air base in Oman

The Air Force requested AVGAS to Seeb Air Base, Oman, in support of their Predator mission. The Predator is a medium-altitude, long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle system utilized for reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition. The Air Force established Seeb Air Base as the hub for distributing AVGAS to various locations throughout the theater.

FAIL!!!! What you are looking at is the remains of Camp Nacirema, which was a medevac hospital during the Gulf War of 2001. The tents in the picture are the supply tents turned back over to the Oman government. The grid on the ground to the East of the compound are where the tents were setup.

It was not a medevac hospital it was a tanker base with KC-135's, KC-10's and British VC-10's. Although the Reservists from Niagara Falls did set up a temp hospital on the base, they were only there a short time. I was there for almost a year with tankers out of Griffiss AFB, Rome NY

There was a medevac hospital there - 375th Med Group from Scott AFB IL was there. I was part of it.
