The United States Auto Club (USAC) has sanctioned auto racing events since 1955.

From 1956-97, USAC was the officiating body of the Indy 500. Today, they sanction several national and regional series of open wheel oval track cars, including sprint cars, midgets, and the Silver Crown series. In 2009, they added off-road racing to their operation with the Traxxas TORC series.
