Hamilton-class high endurance cutter based out of Honolulu, Hawaii. Launched April 24, 1971 at Avondale Shipyard near New Orleans, Louisiana and named for Captain David H. Jarvis of the United States Revenue Cutter Service. She was commissioned August 4, 1972 in Honolulu.
