Zebulon Vance - local hero.
A museum and shrine to a Civil War polititian. All the local school children are brought here to see the pioneer cabins and homestead.
But... what they don't tell you is that he was impeached by 2/3 of the NC house of representatives and removed from office by President Johnson and he was the NC Grand Dragon of the KKK.
