Gigante, also known as "Chin," was an Italian-American mobster and the boss of the Genovese crime family from 1981 until his death in 2005, one of the Five Families that control organized crime activity in NYC. Gigante lived here with his family, although it is said that he spent most of his time living with his mistress and his "second" family in Manhattan.
