In this shot, a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is parked next to a Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle, the car its chassis and mechanicals were based on. Marketed as a 2+2 sports car, its origins were that in the 1950s, Volkswagen was considering to add a halo car to its range, so the company contacted German coachbuilder Karmann, who in turn contacted Ghia for styling, hence the car's namesake coachbuilders.
