Since being built in 2006, the Washington Capitals NHL team have practiced at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex located on the top floor of a parking garage.
Located on the eighth floor, it is the highest ice rink above street level in the United States. (Chicago's John Hancock skyscraper will feature a rink with a synthetic surface in 2011).
It features two NHL-sized rinks, training facilities, seating for 1200 people, office space, and a pro shop.
