West Hackney Burial Ground

West Hackney Burial Ground

London, United Kingdom (GB)
The church of St. Paul was built in 1823 but was destroyed during WWII and rebuilt in 1960. At the back of the modern church is a small cemetery, which closed in 1885.and was a converted into a public garden the same year. However, the site quickly fell into abandonment leaving the 1/2 acre land overgrown. The cemetery has however been cleared for overgrowth recently and now accessible as a public garden again.
