RESCO (Refuse Energy Systems Company) is the destination for most of the garbage and other waste in the north-of-Boston area. Their plants use incinerators to burn garbage, and use the heat to turn steam turbines, producing electricity. Despite the benevolent idea, the plant brings pollution and air quality concerns. RESCO is now Wheelabrator; I only know this because I submitted the Baltimore plant about 2 weeks ago...
