This radar site was built in 1979 and housed an ARSR-3 search radar (used by the FAA) and an AN/FPS-116 height-finder radar (Air Force). The height-finder was removed in 1988; the ARSR-3 was upgraded in the 1990's to an ARSR-4. This site is part of the Joint Surveillance System.

Should we be posting all of the military locations? Wouldn't be too good if someone got a hold of them who wanted to cause harm?

This information is all easily publicly available. In the case of civil radar sets, there are websites which have been around for a while that display all of the information on a single page, including links to aerials, topos, and recent photos. I'm submitting them here because I think GoogleGlobrtrotting is a great resource.
