Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum and Memorial Center: Pics and Stories

My grandparents performed their whip popper act in the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum at the Southwestern Exposition in 1943. Their names were Robert Walter and Pearl Collins. Their show names were Texas Slim and Montana Nell. Slim would pull hairpins out of her hair at 45 feet. Slim would discharge a 45 calibre pistol while Montana Nell would hold the gun in her hand from 45 feet. Does anyone remember them? If so, please contact me at cengel@bellsouth.net
