The Astors' Beechwood Mansion is a Gilded Age estate built in 1851 for New York merchant Daniel Parrish by architects Andrew Jackson Downing and Calvert Vaux, it later became the summer estate of the renowned Astor family. Currently, the estate is operated as Newport's only living history museum and features actors portraying the daily lives of those who inhabited, ran and cared for the estate.

Unfortunately, this is not Beechwood, this is Bealieu. Beechwood is north of Beaulieu, on the other side of the Marble House (note the parking lot close to Bellevue Ave, as Beechwood is now a museum). Beaulieu was once owned by William Waldorf Astor, and later Cornelius Vanderbilt III and his wife, the famous hostess Grace Vanderbilt.
