The World Trade Center (WTC) in Barcelona stands on the end of a massive pier jutting out into the Port Vell (Old Port). The cable car from near to Barcelona Beach up to the Muntanya de Montjuic passes overhead. It's only real interest is the architecture, the buildings that form the complex are built around a central courtyard and each rises up and out from the base. The WTC has become the most active conference and business center in Barcelona.
The World Trade Center was designed by architects Pei, Cobb, Fred & Partners, also designed the famous 'glass pyramid' at the Louvre Museum in Paris. It contains 8 story buildings with offices and conference suites and a hotel, the Eurostars Grand Marina Hotel, with 273 rooms.
