Zach Thomas is a retired football player who played inside linebacker at a high level in the NFL from 1996 to 2008. Before he was drafted in 1996, Thomas spent four productive years with the Texas Tech Red Raiders. He started three out of four years and was a first-team All-American his junior and senior years. Zach was named the Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 1995 and also was a finalist for the Butkus Award as one of the nation's top linebackers. Thomas was inducted in the College Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
