Zhangjiajie rock formations (StreetView)
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park features over 3,000 quartz-sandstone pillar rock formations. Most of the pillars are hundreds of feet tall, with the tallest measuring 3,544 feet. This park was the inspiration for the floating mountains seen in the 2009 film Avatar.
